“The American people will never knowingly adopt Socialism. But under the name of ‘liberalism’ they will adopt every fragment of the Socialist program, until one day America will be a Socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.”

Trump makes GOP the party of nationalism

The left media and democrats are apoplectic about Trump, calling him extreme right wing, too conservative, dragging the GOP to the extreme right.
But that's nonsense. His platform, "Make America First Again" as outlined last night, is very nationalistic, not traditional conservatism. How is bringing manufacturing back to the US, controlling illegal immigration, lowering taxes, getting out of pointless wars, embracing LGBTQ issues, affordable daycare for everybody, etc., extreme? .
It's very mainstream nationalism and the GOP hates it as much as liberals, but for a different reason. Liberals hate Trump personally because he's not PC enough for their sensitive feelings and because his message threatens to co-opt big swaths of their voting base. Establishment republicans hate him because he's redefining and exposing their cozy party of entrenchment and K-street bribery.
Ask not establishment republicans, at whom Trump smirks, for he smirks at you.
