“The American people will never knowingly adopt Socialism. But under the name of ‘liberalism’ they will adopt every fragment of the Socialist program, until one day America will be a Socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.”

Socialist Party presidential candidate Norman Thomas

The parasitical first family

The ironic absurdity of Michelle Obama taking a 17-day, $4,000,000 Hawaiian vacation and spending a few minutes to ask Americans to give her some money cannot be overstated.....

Over the next 11 months we’ve got an organization to grow, voters to register, and people to get fired up.

I hope you’ll close out this year by donating $3 or more now to help make sure we’re ready for the next one . . .
Thank you so much, and happy new year,
Michelle

Democrat voters are demonstrably low to middle-income Americans and for our own Marie Antoinette First Lady to ask for money from them is beyond the pale. This first family is so out of touch with the nation they govern, it's farcical. They believe that they are entitled to enjoy the lavish trappings of power and spend obscene amounts of tax-payer money on opulent vacations to exotic resorts around the world while the little people back home work three jobs to pay for it all.

We cannot be rid of these parasites fast enough.

Back from vacation

So there's a movement among some conservatives to have a ticker-tape parade of appreciation for the returning Iraq vets. But is this really appropriate? Obama, no fan of the military, has been criticized by republicans for celebrating World Series victories more than returning veterans, but what did our veterans win?

Usually a parade is held when somebody wins something. Did we win the war in Iraq and I missed it? I'm not saying we shouldn't be thankful for the sacrifices made by service members in Iraq, but having a parade just because the President brought the troops home in the middle of a war doesn't make sense.

To show support and appreciation for the troops, I suggest that every time you see a uniformed service member in an airport lounge or neighborhood restaurant, buy him or her a drink or pay for their meal, anonymously. That's far more personal, they'll appreciate that more, and it doesn't look like we're celebrating a victory after the first round of the playoffs.

Sharia law takes hold in Austria

All across Europe, hostile Muslim immigrants are finding fertile ground in the courts for their bizarre version of law known as Sharia.....

From Diana West over at Townhall -- Freedom of speech no longer exists in Austria, as definitively proven by the Vienna high court. This week, a judge upheld the conviction against Elisabeth Sabaditsch-Wolff on the following charge: "denigration of religious beliefs of a legally recognized religion." In simplest terms, this means that Elisabeth Sabaditsch-Wolff speaks the truth about Islam, and in Austria, as in other nations across the Western world currently transitioning to sharia (Islamic law), speaking the truth about Islam is not tolerated, and, more and more, is against the law.

What did my friend Elisabeth say that the Vienna high court ruled verboten? Elisabeth was convicted in February 2011 of "denigration" of Islam because in the course of a seminar she was teaching on Islam she stated that "Muhammad had a thing for little girls."

The story of the 52 year old Muhammad raping the  9 year old Aisha, the daughter of his best friend, is well documented, but to discuss it for what it is, pedophilic rape, is unpleasant to deranged Muslims who worship their degenerate "prophet" as a god.

That European, and soon American, courts entertain the idea that the barbaric cult of Islam must be defended from slander by silencing free speech on the matter, even if the speech is absolutely true as it is in this case, is chilling to say the least. By convicting a teacher from speaking the truth about Islam, the Austrian courts have given their tacit approval of perverted Muslim men using 9 year old girls for sex under the transparent guise of "marriage".

Europe might be a lost cause and her descent into self-immolating embrace of hostile Muslim hordes in the courts will surely accelerate its inevitable collapse and total submission to Islam. But it might not be too late for North America to back away from this insanity. But if Obama gets four more years to stack the federal courts with Islam-friendly radical judges, who knows?

Idiot takes illegal drugs and receives huge payday

Read this outrage and then try to tell me that slip-and-fall lawyers aren't one of the biggest problems in the US today....

From Philly.com -- SADDLE RIVER, N.J. - A New Jersey man who overdosed on drugs stolen from a pharmacy is getting $4.1 million to settle his lawsuit.

Scott Simon says he suffered permanent nerve damage after taking Xanax given to him by a former employee of a Ridgewood drug store at a party in 2007.

Simon's attorney, John Schepisi, tells The Record newspaper The Saddle River resident can't walk without help and has been declared incompetent.

Simon sued the pharmacy for not taking proper precautions to avoid theft of drugs. He also sued the party's host and his parents, along with several guests.
All of them will contribute toward the settlement.

How does this moron taking illegal drugs result in a fabulous payday for him? This is on par with the McDonald's hot coffee settlement in it's utter stupidity. Now the lives of this family are probably ruined and anybody who buys anything from this pharmacy retailer will pay a little more for it so this idiot can live like a king and his skeevy lawyer is laughing all the way to the bank at the hoax he pulled.

I swear, the earthquakes notwithstanding, if I could afford to move to New Zealand I would.

Navy lesbians breaking new ground

Don't Ask, Don't Tell was lifted two months ago allowing gay service people to be openly gay if they want to be. I haven't heard any stories about problems perhaps because it'll take some time for people to get comfortable with it and come out. Well, this week the USS Oak Hill came home from 80 days at sea and as is the tradition in the Navy, a lottery was held to see who gets to run down the gangplank and plant the "first kiss" on a loved one. This year a lesbian won the lottery and got to be the first kiss. As always, they were cheered by their fellow servicemen and it was no big deal.

They didn't make a big deal about being lesbians, only that they were happy that they could just be themselves now. I say good for them. They look happy.

Having said that, these were two otherwise attractive women. What would the reception have been had the kiss been shared by a burly male fighter pilot and his male partner? I'm guessing not as warmly. Why is that? Why do we feel threatened as a society when two men kiss, but not so much when it's women? Is it because women are naturally and openly affectionate toward each other anyway? Or more disturbingly, is it because we subconsciously view the role of men as more reflective of ourselves collectively and the role of women less seriously? I don't know.

Iraqi's show their appreciation for the US

Many coordinated explosions rocked Baghdad today, probably designed to show the US that it's business as usual in the third-world hell-hole now that we've pulled out entirely. The US military has no official presence in Iraq, preferring instead to run around Afghanistan being targets for the Taliban and Al Qaeda.

If somebody can show me how the last 9 years in Iraq and 4,500 US lives was worth what is there now, I'd love to be entertained by it. Political and social reform in middle east countries is hopeless at best, and an exercise in utter futility and a colossal waste of resources at worst. What got accomplished? A rudimentary constitution was written, a fledgling coalition government formed, and a first ever election held....but to what end? The insurgent terrorists are still terrorizing the capital at will and the corrupt government is woefully inept in controlling them.

Saddam was a terrible guy and deserved to die, but how long before Islamic extremists begin to assert themselves into leadership roles in Iraq? My guess is not long.

1 year until the end of the world....

If you're a believer in the wisdom of the ancient Mayans, you're probably planning on how to spend your last year on Earth. The Mayan calendar ends on the Winter solstice(21Dec) in the year 2012. So mystics, shamans, sooth-sayers, Bodhisattva's, and self-promoting preachers are planning on how to cash in on the gullibility of the world's morons.

That said, if you feel the need to divest yourself of your worldly possessions, I am in need of another flat-screen HD TV, an SUV newer than 2005, and whatever cash you have lying around. Simply contact me via Facebook and we'll arrange the "gift".

Obama pays off union debt at the expense of kids' lunches

Michelle Obama used her husbands power to seize the LA school district lunch program and replace the normal, edible food with the kind of crap she pretends to feed her family...."vegetable curry, lentil and brown rice cutlets, and quinoa and black-eyed pea salads".....GROSS!

21,000 meals a day are being thrown away by students and teachers alike, and forbidden-food black markets have sprung up to satisfy appetites.

The Obama administration shuttled tens of millions to the SEIU thugs who prepare the disgusting meals. No doubt lots of it was used to sign up thousands more workers into the union. See, this wasn't about feeding kids healthy meals, it was about expanding SEIU's union membership as a payback for helping to elect her husband.

Stephen Harper and the Chinese must think Obama is a moron

Canadian PM Stephen Harper to Obama: "Shit or get off the pot....do you want our oil and the 2,000 jobs that come with it or not because the Chinese are going to buy it?"

Obama to Harper: "No thanks"

Obama's refusal to allow the Keystone XL pipeline, that would transport millions of barrels of oil from Canada to our processing stations in the Gulf, and the thousands of jobs that come with it, not to mention the decrease in dependence on the oil of our enemies, to go forward is proof that Obama cares only for pleasing the moronic environmentalist wackos who got him elected, rather than helping the nation with what should be a no-brainer decision.

Because of Obama's dereliction and hostility to America on this issue will result in Canada selling all that oil to China, our economic overlord and enemy.

Boehner the RINO has let us down

Remember how ecstatic we were after the 2010 midterms as we saw the brakes finally being applied to Obama's insane spending? Well, we were duped, big time! John Boehner and his RINO accomplices broke several transparency promises and voted on an 11th hour spending bill they hadn't even read, in order to not get blamed by democrats for shutting down government. Here's Jim DeMint's(he voted against it) account....

From TheHill -- Republicans have pledged to cut spending and quit passing legislation no one had read, but that’s exactly what members of Congress did before leaving for their Christmas vacations. The 2012 omnibus increased spending by more than $18 billion over 2011 levels. Once that bill is signed into law by the President, the total tab for all twelve 2012 appropriations bills will be more than $1.8 trillion, a nearly $21 billion increase over 2011 spending.

If we TEA Party people believe what we say we believe, then maybe some of these guys we put in office should be kicked out, starting with Boehner.

Kim Jong-Il liked to look at things

One of my FB friends mentioned this but I didn't know what he was talking about until I came across this site called KimJongIllookingatthings. Apparently the only photographs of the Norks' now room-temperature Dear Leader are of him examining various boring aspects of North Korean life.

Heh heh....here he is looking at a sweater....

The Norks aren't fooling anybody

The Norks are staging public weeping displays so the world will think they cared for their room-temperature Dear Leader, Kim Jong-Il. In such a closed country where the consumption of literally every bit of information is carefully controlled for generations, you wonder if most Norks even know the Earth is round, the moon reflects sunlight, or Lindsay Lohan posed for Playboy.

I'm guessing since most North Koreans survive by eating grass like goats because there's no food, the promise by the government of a radish, a beet, or a couple of carrots would be enough to get them to cry on cue for the cameras.

Dumb NJ cop forgot Internet Rule 30

Heh heh, a dumb NJ cop forgot to observe the most important Internet chat room meme which clearly states that on the Internet...

-men are men
-women are men
-and children are FBI agents

From NJ.com -- A Madison police officer was sentenced to six years in state prison today for soliciting a nude photo from an investigator posing as a 13-year-old girl online, the state Attorney General's Office said in a news release.

I guess the pathology these guys suffer from compels them to interact sexually with children, even though they're cops and know they're going to get busted.

Eric Holder embarrassingly plays the race card

What's the first thing black politicians do when they get caught being corrupt? Why, accuse the person who pointed out their corruption of being racist. Atty. Gen. Eric Holder is in big trouble for the Fast and Furious program and he's been caught lying in congressional hearing testimony. As a last play to deflect criticism of his ineptitude, racism, and corruption Holder retreated to the tried-and-true ploy of racism as the reason for his trouble.....

From DailyCaller -- “This is a way to get at the president because of the way I can be identified with him,” Holder said, according to the Times. “Both due to the nature of our relationship and, you know, the fact that we’re both African-American.”

You'd think the media would laugh out loud at the preposterousness of this, but then you'd think we had a legitimate media keeping watch over government too, but we don't. Black liberals resorting to the race charge is absurdly transparent and you would think the US Atty. Gen. would be smarter than that. Trying to drag Obama into the race fray might test the last straw of support from the President and I predict we'll see Holder deservedly under the Hope-n-Change bus real soon.

Would you hire this man to be your lawyer? Me neither.

While Americans struggle, the Obama's live like royalty

For the Obama's to go on a 17-day Hawaiian vacation odyssey this year, the American taxpayers are on the hook for over $4,000,000.

That Michelle and the girls couldn't wait a day and left early cost the taxpayers an additional $100,000. Also, rather than staying at usual Presidential housing, the Obama's have decided to stay down the block, closer to the beach with a canal behind the house. This means the Secret Service has to rent twice the housing to secure the home. So much for austerity and savings during a national recession. While many Americans are struggling to even have a Christmas, our entitled overlords, the Obama's, are living extravagantly like kings at our expense.

Here's the Obama's Christmas card this year. They should have sent out "Thank You" cards instead.

OK, as regular reader Issac gleefully pointd out, this is not the Obama's Christmas card. This bland, personless, boring room is the official "Holiday card".

Notice there's nothing signifying Christmas here, no tree, no nothing.

Congress flips the switch on the light-bulb ban

Into the spending bill to keep government functioning, republicans inserted a provision that prevents the feds from spending any money to enforce the idiotic ban on 100W incandescent light bulbs that goes into effect 31Dec. Sadly it doesn't repeal the ban, it just takes the teeth out of enforcing it.

Nothing embodies the absurdity of government heavy-handedness combined with the utter insanity of belief in the man-made global warming myth than the US ironically outlawing the sale of our most famous invention, the incandescent light bulb, to save the polar bears.

That the last incandescent light bulb factory in the US shut down this year is a sad testament to how intrusive, over bearing, and capricious our federal government has become in the lives of taxpayers. Sad and pathetic!

Joe Barton (R)-Texas, is a moron of the highest order

Having solved all the nation's other problems, idiot congresscritter from Texas, republican Joe Barton has made it his business to regulate college football. He thinks the BCS is a flawed system of picking a national champion so he drafted a bill which would make it illegal to have a championship game unless it was derived from a playoff system.

The assholes in congress think that the "interstate commerce clause" of the Constitution gives them the right to regulate literally every human activity that displeases them in any way.

Joe Barton should be run out of office immediately. How college football decides its national champion is none of the governments business any more than steroids in baseball and football are none of their business. They're just attention-grabbing whores who think this is the best way to get in front of the camera heading into an election year.

Nancy Pelosi has completely lost it

Remember how Nancy Pelosi promised that Obamacare would create 4million jobs over its life and 400,000 almost immediately? Here she is absurdly promising the same thing about unemployment benefits extensions.....

If somebody can explain how unemployment money translates into private-sector jobs, please do it now. And don't give me the even-unemployment-money-stimulates-the-economy-to-create-jobs argument. You can't take money out of the economy to pay for benefits and then put it back in and have it create employment.....it's a zero-sum game.

Israel's 1 year window to attack Iran

As the US pulls out of Iraq, we not only leave a treasure trove of military hardware behind for the taking, we also leave a vacuum in the airspace above Iraq. With no US planes patrolling the skies and Iraq not taking possession of newly purchased F-16's until the end of next year, that leaves a 1 year window through which Israel might fly to destroy Iran's nuclear sites.

The shortest route from Israel to Iran is directly over Iraq and with no air defense capability, who'll stop the Israelis from attacking Iran, assuming anybody wants to stop them that is.

Israel destroying Iran's nuclear weapons program would solve a lot of problems for everybody in the region and the world in general. And letting Israel take the heat is nothing new, nor do they mind taking the heat.

If Achmadinejad ratchets up the anti-Zionist rhetoric in the coming months, watch for Israel take the opportunity we handed her and set Iran's nuclear program back a few decades.

Achmadinejad imagines his balls are bigger than they really are

Now this is worth fighting over....

From Yahoo News -- TEHRAN (Reuters) - A member of the Iranian parliament's National Security Committee said on Monday that the military was set to practice its ability to close the Gulf to shipping at the narrow Strait of Hormuz, the most important oil transit channel in the world, but there was no official confirmation.

The legislator, Parviz Sarvari, told the student news agency ISNA: "Soon we will hold a military maneuver on how to close the Strait of Hormuz. If the world wants to make the region insecure, we will make the world insecure."

Through the Straights of Hormuz flows 30% of the world's seaborne oil and Iran's threat to shut it down, even for a silly exercise will shock world economies. While I support little of our interventionist activities in the middle east, preventing Iran from even slowing down the flow of oil is worth doing, even if it brings us closer to a fighting conflict with the Persian thugs.

They're testing us because they know Obama is an empty suit who doesn't have the convictions necessary to protect American interests. If this were some internal Iranian conflict, I'd say let 'em have at it, but this affects the economies of the whole western world. We should have ships there to guarantee safe passage of tankers and any attempt to disrupt their voyage should be met with violence. Simple as that.

Glen Beck, off the deep end

Why is Glen Beck distancing himself from the TEA Party?

Not that I was ever a big Beck fan at any time, he's always been way too conspiratorial and depressing for me, but his suggesting that the tea-party's opposition to Obama might be about race is insulting. Gingrich might not be the conservative that Sarah Palin is, but if he can beat Obama, he'll get my vote.

Beck just lost me entirely by saying that if I support Gingrich over Obama, it means I'm a racist. I think GBTV just peaked in viewership and it's all down hill from here.

Begun, the drone wars have

Shouldn't we have blown this drone up by now?

From FoxNews -- Iran claims it is recovering data from downed stealth drone, while U.S. officials are concerned that the drone's secrets — such as its radar-deflecting paint — could be cracked.

I thought the standard procedure for downed aircraft which contain sensitive information-gathering or advanced design technology was to destroy it before the enemy can learn anything from it. Why haven't we blown this thing up yet? You know the Russians and red Chinese are there already paying who knows how many dinars for a thorough look-see.

The Russians can invent their own stuff, but we know the Chinese would rather steal our stuff and reverse engineer it than develop their own. Do we need Chinese drones flying over Hawaii, maybe Alaska, or being launched off their one pathetic carrier near our mainland? Do we need the Russians taking our technology, making fleets of drones, then selling them to our enemies?

Blow this thing up already! Who cares if a few dozen Iranians, Chinese, and Russians get blown up with it....so much the better.

Cookie bonus, from what movie was the title of this post paraphrased?

Three Stooges trailer

If you're not a fan of the three stooges, then you're probably a chick and this movie isn't for you. But guys get the stooges comedy and this remake of the TV show looks pretty good....

Live like I say, not as I live

Despite President Obama's edict last month directing all government employees to try to cut back on expenses, specifically by cutting on unnecessary travel costs, Michelle and the girls might be heading off to Hawaii a couple of days ahead of the President at a cost of over $100,000.

If he gets stuck wrangling with Congress over the payroll tax holiday proposal, rather than enjoying Camp David for a couple of days, the ever impatient and entitled Michelle will fly privately at great cost to get started on their lavish, 17-day Hawaiian odyssey vacation on time.

When Michelle travels without the President, there are huge costs involved including the cargo plane that trails her jet, presumably to carry all her luggage? Good grief! No wonder people call her Marie Antoinette. She's already got the largest ever posse of handlers, makeup and hair artists, security details, friends, assistants, etc. No first lady has enjoyed the lavish budget with which Michelle fleeces the American taxpayer.

Sasha and Malia observe Pearl Harbor Day by what else, eating Japanese

The Obama daughters, Sasha and Malia, are too good to go to public schools with the DC riff raff that their father's administration has abandoned at the behest of the awful teachers' union. Instead they fritter away their days at the Sidwell Friends School, reserved for the very rich who their father hypocritically vilifies in every speech.

Today is the 70th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor by the Japanese. In observance, Sidwell Friends is serving Asian food for lunch. Coincidence? I think not.

No doubt the first daughters are getting a history lesson today about how America was evil and had it coming, as we left the Japanese no choice but to attack us because of our policy in the Pacific. If the democrats had their way, no actual history would be taught, just a regurgitation of the leftist narrative that America is inherently bad and we deserve to be taken down a notch by anybody who wants to do it.

China steels herself for war....heh heh

Until they actually win a naval battle against a capable rival, I remain unimpressed by China's naval might....

From YahooNews -- Chinese navy warship, the DDG-171 Haikou destroyer, is seen in the Gulf of Aden 2009. Chinese President Hu Jintao on Tuesday urged the navy to prepare for military combat, amid growing regional tensions over maritime disputes and a US campaign to assert itself as a Pacific power. (AFP Photo/Stephane de Sakutin)

Now I'm no expert but I know a few regular readers of TRR who are so if I'm wrong, correct me....

China might yet destroy the US economically, but they don't have a snowballs chance in hell of doing it on the high seas. They should probably stay close to home where rescue ships and freighters can find bodies in the water.

Why does everybody hate Tebow?

Tim Tebow engineered, or at least inspired, another 4th quarter comeback victory for the Denver Broncos on Sunday bringing his record as a starter to 6-1 and in first place in their division. But outside of Denver, people sneer derisively every time Tebow acknowledges his faith publicly. Why is this?

Before Bill Clinton I was oblivious to the curious phenomenon by which we Americans need to know that our leaders and heroes are no better than the worst of us. To have them be better than us compels us to live up to some standards of behavior. We Americans don't like personal standards of behavior. We like our politicians to lie to and cheat us and molest and kill interns. We like our athletes to carouse, get busted for DUI, and serially cheat on their wives and children. Not that we all behave like that, but as we go about our lives, nobody can point a finger of condemnation at us when Bill Clinton is doing what he did with Monica in the oval office.

We're comfortable feeling superior to dishonest politicians and degenerate athletes and as long as Tim Tebow is losing we can still feel superior, but we are definitely uncomfortable with a good and decent guy being a winner too.

I wonder if other players and sports media would be mocking him if he wore Islam or Hinduism on his sleeve as unapologetically as he does Christianity? That's a rhetorical question. You already know the answer. Tebow's public acknowledgement of Christianity forces us into the uncomfortable position of evaluating our own lives and the media can't have that.

That's why you can count me as a huge Tebow fan. Not just because he's a Christian, but because he confounds the sniping critics who hate what he stands for.

Send out a probe, post haste!

It's never too soon to begin strategizing the hostile colonization of other planets and it looks like we have a target....

Scenerio 1(likely): by the time we figure out how to get to a planet 600 light years away, we'll be so advanced that destroying the local beings and taking their planet for our own will be child's play.

Scenerio 2(more likely): we are already being observed by the folks from this planet and it will be us who are colonized and enslaved by them, and I for one, welcome our Kepler-22b overlords.

Finally, a debate I might actually watch

Donald Trump, real-estate tycoon, shameless self-promoter, and serious political debate moderator.....wait, what?

Donald Trump is teaming up with Newsmax, the online conservative news magazine, to host a GOP debate from DesMoines, Iowa in December 27. Finally a debate I might watch.

Trump is great in a no-nonsense kind of way when he talks about politics and while I may not agree with his policies always, he's never dull or predictable. Hopefully some of that will show in the kinds of questions he asks.

Meghan McCain unwittingly beclowns self

Here's Meghan McCain hilariously answering an interview question regarding the difference to her, between Michelle Bachmann and Sarah Palin....

“What does she have that Sarah Palin doesn’t, didn’t?” asked Richard Wolffe, a fellow contributor.

“I think she’s… this is going to get me in trouble, but I actually think she’s just more smarter,” explained McCain

Ms McCain is spoiled, puerile child trying to swim in the deep end of the political pool. But for her dad being a Senator, who would care what she thought about anything? Her usefulness is limited to being an idiot tool of the left. The left-wing media love to showcase her as the mainstream conservative woman, much the same way at the NYTimes fish wrapper showcases the moderate-left David Brooks as its conservative standard bearer.

Evidently she either doesn't know or doesn't care that the left media make fun of her behind her back as she criticizes the GOP for not being bipartisan or moderate enough. She's being used and seems oblivious.

Use a cell phone during the movie? That's a choking.

Here's a story about a man in Seattle who got himself choked for using his cell phone in the movie theater. Go here and read the story. But the point is, I rarely go to movies anymore because there's always some moron, jerk, or group of kids who won't shut the hell up or stop texting or talking on their cell phones during the movie. I'm glad this guy got choked. He deserved it. I'd like to throttle people at movies who think they're the only people in the room and disregard entirely the basic rules of public behavior and decorum.

Other peoples' rudeness is the sole reason why if we go to a movie, it's a matinee' or late in the movie run where there are maybe 10 people at each show and we can sit far away from everybody.

After Occupy, the clean up begins

Now that the filthy Occupy vermin have been eradicated from downtown LA, the tedious process of cleaning up, at a cost to taxpayers of $1million, the 30tons of trash, clothes, rotted food, contaminated drug paraphernalia, and human waste they left behind has to begin. Workers had to wear hazmat suits to avoid contact with the thousands of bottles of human urine and dirty drug needles left behind by the diseased, feral animals who resided illegally there for two months.

This is the sort of 14th-Century communal collectivism in which stupid liberals would have us all toiling if they got their way. How Obama, Pelosi, et al can support in any way these vermin is a complete mystery to me.

Let it be noted that this Superfund site was left behind by 300 dirty, Occupy hippies. When TEA Party rallies were held by tens of thousands, we left the parks, cities, and malls cleaner than when we arrived. You won't hear that from the disgraceful media.

UK public employees unwittingly expose selves as unnecessary

As many as 2million public-sector workers went on strike in London today to protest necessary pension cuts....austerity measures that would help England avoid insolvency, like Greece and Italy.

You'd think the country would shut down with that many employees not working, but actually with bureaucrats out of the way, things are flowing much more smoothly....heh heh. The transit systems are far less congested, lines at state bureaucracies are far shorter. Actually most Londoners are happy that they are not at work.

This being the case, maybe they could just go ahead and fire anybody not on the job today since they have been proven to be unnecessary. Just fire them. I'll be they'll change their tune when they don't have any job or pension.

Barney Frank calls it quits

Barney Frank announced yesterday that he won't be seeking re-election, citing redistricting as contributory to his decision. Let's face it, at this point he's too entrenched and lazy to actually run a campaign for re-election.

Predictably the fawning media are presenting us with gleeful praise for Frank's 31-year, embarrassment of a congressional career. Lost in the media ass-kissing fest is Frank's personal responsibility for the mortgage collapse and the near national financial collapse. If Eric Holder was anything but an incompetent moron, Barney Frank would be in a prison cell, right next to Chris Dodd(insert salad-tossing joke here).

The moral of the story of liberal politicians retiring or dieing is that you can get away with pretty much anything in the eyes of the media as long as you fight for the liberal agenda, or at least pretend to fight for it.

Never cheat on a tattoo artist

This dumb chick in the picture decided to cheat on her boyfriend with his best friend. Then she asked her boyfriend, a tattoo artist, to do an image of Narnia on her back. The clever boyfriend had her sign a release allowing for "artist's discretion" before giving her this epic, steaming pile of crap instead.

I'm not sure what the difference between a steaming pile of crap tattoo and a Narnia tattoo is, but either way, ex-boyfriend FTW!

Newt's pragmatism on immigration

Newt Gingrich is taking a lot of heat from the other GOP candidates for his comments on immigration. They're accusing him of being pro-amnesty....

From NYTimes -- Mr. Gingrich responded by pressing his case that the country — and the Republican Party — would not be served by forcing the exile of immigrants who had been in the country for years, paying taxes and staying out of legal trouble.

“I don’t see how the party that says it’s the party of the family is going to adopt an immigration policy which destroys families that have been here a quarter century,” Mr. Gingrich said during the debate. “And I’m prepared to take the heat for saying let’s be humane in enforcing the law without giving them citizenship, but by finding a way to create legality so that they are not separated from their families.”

I think this is the most pragmatic, logical, and reasonable position. While in an ideal world, it would be nice to kick literally every illegal out of the country and start over from scratch with a closed border, in what alternative universe do these conditions exist?  The fact is, they are here, and most do not commit crimes, do pay some taxes, and do participate in the American dream. Blanket amnesty is a bad idea, but rounding up and deporting 20million people is equally bad.

There's got to be some way to offer a pathway to legality, but maybe not full voting citizenship, to those who participate and remain otherwise lawful. I think Newt's on to something and the other candidates have to attack him as the front runner.

Romney's objection that it'll just encourage more illegal border crossings could be negated by closing the border first.

A modest milestone

I don't know if you noticed the visitor counter toward the bottom of the right column, but TRR just went over 200,000 visits since I put up the counter a couple of years ago. I realize that by Drudge standards, that's like 5 minutes worth of visits, but I'm happy that a couple hundred people from all over the world stop by each day to see what we're talking about and maybe put their two-cents worth in.

I appreciate you people wasting a few minutes of your employers' busy work day to have a look at the posts, engage in a little lively debate, and tell me what a thoughtless asshole I am.

Now, back to blogging.

Heh heh, watch Mika Brzezinski get the vapors over Newt's comment

Mika Brzesinski is an unashamed Obama lick spittle, that much we know. But who figured she would defend the moronic OWS protesters against a simple insult from Newt, that frankly we've all made dozens of times..."get a job right after you get a bath". Watch and laugh as she practically hyperventilates in horror at Newt's daring to insult the delicate, snowflakes urinating and defecating on themselves around the country....

Michelle Malkin suggested this as Newt's new campaign slogan. I'd put this bumper sticker on my car today if I could buy one somewhere....

John Corzine.....criminal and Obama cronie

Ask not at whom John Corzine points and laughs, for he points and laughs at you.

Disgraced former NJ governor John Corzine's company, MF Global, went tits-up recently and big surprise, $1.6Billion of his clients money is missing. Corzine's been a corrupt crony of the Obama administration for years and I'll bet a lions share of that money is in Obama's campaign war chest.

Do any of you expect Corzine to be be thrown in jail for stealing from his clients? Me neither. He's one of Obama's biggest supporters and he'll receive protection from prosecution, especially if as I suspect, a lot of that money wound up funding Obama's re-election bid.

If the OWS morons are serious about protesting corruption at the hightest levels of government and banking instead of just getting high and raping each other, why not protest the cozy bromance between Corzine and Obama?

MIla Kunis keeps her promise

A-list actress Mila Kunis was invited to the Marine Ball via a Youtube video request, and she accepted. Over the weekend she kept her promise and went to the ball with Sgt Scott Moore.

I don't know what her politics and beliefs are but until I hear differently, she's a stand-up girl and she'll get every benefit of doubt from me.

UC-Davis morons learn about law-enforcement, the hard way

Dumb, entitled students at UC-Davis refuse to stop blocking a public use sidewalk on campus when the cops told them to, so naturally, and hilariously, the cops doused their faces with pepper spray....

The sympathetic media whined all weekend that the protesters were peaceful and unarmed, effectively accusing the cops of brutality, but "peaceful and unarmed" aren't the qualifications for law breaking. If you're intentionally blocking a public-use sidewalk and refuse to move when the cops tell you to move, you're breaking the law and you deserve to get pepper sprayed in the face. You deserve to get whacked upside the head with a telescopic baton in my opinion, so the cops showed amazing restraint here.

Larry Munson...RIP

My whole life as a Georgia football fan consisted of turning down the volume on the TV and listening to Larry Munson's play-by-play on the radio. He retired a year ago and passed away yesterday. Here's a tribute video of his most famous calls I found on Youtube....

I remember the exhilaration and thrill of each of those great plays in Georgia football history, thanks in large part to Munson's radio calls.

Like Eric Holder, Stephen Chu is either corrupt or incompetent and must resign, post haste

This is Stephen Chu, the nobel prize winning physicist and the Obama regime's secretary of energy. He testified before congress yesterday regarding the Solyndra debacle in which the Obama administration pissed away $578,000,000,000 (that's billion) dollars of taxpayer money on idiotic solar panels. He pretended that he knew nothing about Solyndra's financial trouble. His not knowing about Solyndra's trouble was like Eric Holder's not knowing about Fast and Furious going on right under his nose. It's simply not believable and both men are utterly incompetent to perform the jobs they hold.

Obama and the media tout Chu as regularly as the "Nobel prize winning physicist" as a testimony to his unassailability. Well, Obama received the Nobel Peace prize and promptly escalated the war in Afghanistan and attacked Libya, so Nobel prizes aren't exactly worth a lot these days.

The fact that Solyndra happened on his watch alone should be enough to force his immediate resignation, but it won't because the media will protect the Obama regime at all costs.....after all, it's election season.

I seem to recall this floating around the interwebs a few years ago and it reappeared on the FB page of my friend Susan, so I thought it was time for a re-visit.

US Marines? In Australia?

On his trip to Australia yesterday, Obama announced plans for the US to deploy 250 and eventually 2,500 marines in northern Australia in the coming months. Why? Supposedly it is to apply theoretical pressure to the Chinese not to misbehave in the south Pacific but, is that really a concern of ours? And why does Australia need US marines to protect them? They have a fine military. This seems like a slap in the face of the Australian Army to me.

I don't get why they would invite us to be there, other than a lot of local economic stimulus comes with supporting that many people.

I just don't get having US military bases all over the world. Seems pointless to me. Let Australia handle her own business. If we need to project force to the south Pacific, we can easily do it in a matter of hours and 2,500 marines aren't going to deter China from doing whatever it wants there.

The fix is in if you're an elected official

Did anybody else see the 60 minutes report by Steve Croft last night regarding how virtually all congressmen use inside information (information to which the voters have no access) to make millions for themselves and their families? All these guys are criminals! Not only do they trade stocks based on inside information, they advance legislation, the sole purpose of which is to enrich themselves. As Speaker of the House, Denny Hastert bought some cheap, virtually worthless cornfield land in Iowa, then pushed through an unnecessary interstate bill that quadrupled the value of that land.

How is he not in jail? Who oversees the criminals in congress? The justice department? Where are the gov't watchdogs? Why aren't there sunshine and transparency laws for the personal financial dealings of elected officials? Oh wait there are, but because DC is a rigged town, the fix is in and everybody is getting rich on inside information, nobody wants to upset the gravy train.

And these guys make political hay putting otherwise harmless drug users in prison for decades. If I traded on inside information or used my office for personal financial gain, I'd be in jail.

"But Ed" you whine, "holding public office is a sacrifice. They have to maintain two households and besides, it's a drop in the bucket compared to what they waste of our tax money."

True, but they make $174,000 a year and receive all kinds of perks from lobbyists. That aside, it's against the law to trade on inside information and to use your office for personal financial gain. The President is bound by law to have his personal portfolio held in a blind trust to which he has no access, why aren't congressmen and senators held to the same standard?

Somebody call the Orkin man

This is an actual picture of officials at the Centers for Disease Control in Atlanta responding to an outbreak of drug-resistant tuberculosis at the Occupy Atlanta tent city.....

These diseased vermin need to be in this order, forcibly washed with lye soap, beaten like Rodney King, and run out of town on a rail. Then the whole area quarantined and fumigated.

Joe Paterno out at State-College

In an effort to preserve their already damaged institution, Penn State's board of trustees fired by phone, head football coach Joe Paterno and the president of Penn State. Students rioted in support of Paterno but did he have it coming?

According to reports, a current assistant coach who was then a graduate assistant, witnessed coach Sandusky "sodomizing a 10 year old boy in the locker room showers". The term "sodomy" can mean several different things, all of them bad if you're a 10 year old boy. Instead of beating the coach to a bloody pulp and then calling the cops, this coward went to Paterno's office and told him. Then Paterno apparently told his boss the athletic director who apparently did nothing, resulting in as many as 17 boys being molested by Sandusky.

So who dropped the ball(if you'll pardon the football expression)? Much like the Catholic church, there is a culture of protection of the bigtime, Division-1 football institution at all costs. Every problem is handled "in-house" rather than involving outside authorities. But this wasn't a case of a 4-eyed nerd taking tests for stupid athletes. That's an in-house issue. This crime required nothing less than the immediate stoppage of the crime followed by an immediate call to the cops. Everybody in the Penn State chain-of-command passed the buck up to the next guy until it eventually got ignored.

I admire and respect Joe Paterno for his football and ethics record at Penn State, but his kicking this crime up the ladder for someone else to handle made him complicit in the crime and in the interest of Penn State, the board of trustees was probably wise to act quickly.

Obama is playing a dangerous game with Iran and Israel

Despite Iran's regular threats to destroy the Zionist state, I doubt it has any intention of attacking Israel. They don't have to. All Iran has to do is assume the posture of attack with its nuclear weapons capability and they know that'll be enough to bait Israel into a pre-emptive strike. Then they can whine about Israel being a aggressive, blood-thirsty state knowing that Israel's few remaining allies will turn on her.

And since Obamas's storied contempt of Israel and her PM Netanyahu is very public, Iran knows it has nothing to fear from the US by nuclear saber rattling. Building up a nuclear weapons program while proclaiming (unbelievably) that it's for peaceful energy purposes, Iran believes it has plausible deniability about its intentions to provoke Israel into a first strike.

Achmadinnerjacket knows that Obama is a weak, empty-suited amateur who when the sh*t hits the fan, will side with the UN majority against Israel. Killing bin Laden and Qaddafi was easy. It takes spine to confront a nuclear armed Iran and Obama is in short supply of spine.

Holiday chicanery from the Obama administration

This is how utterly stupid the Obama administration is. In the middle of a recession and with almost 10% of people out of a job, his Agriculture Dept. is imposing a $.15 tax on all live Christmas trees sold. The stated purpose is....

From Heritage.org -- “program of promotion, research, evaluation, and information designed to strengthen the Christmas tree industry’s position in the marketplace; maintain and expend existing markets for Christmas trees; and to carry out programs, plans, and projects designed to provide maximum benefits to the Christmas tree industry

Since when does the Christmas tree industry need its market position strengthened? Are there people who are anti-Christmas trees?

Obama just can't help himself. He must raise taxes no matter how ridiculous the reason given. The idiocy of it is that he's ostensibly helping the industry, but he's too economically inept to understand that raising the price will harm the Christmas tree industry. My son is taking an Econ class in high school and he fully understands the relationship between price and demand. Why doesn't Obama?

Violence works both ways

It's time for the police to start shooting people....

From CBS(Local) -- Coffee cart owner Linda Jenson and hot dog cart operators Letty and Pete Soto said they initially provided free food and drink to demonstrators, but when they stopped, the protesters became violent.

And according to one city councilman, bodily fluids were used in the attacks.

“Both carts have had items stolen, have had their covers vandalized with markings and graffiti, as well as one of the carts had urine and blood splattered on it,” said Councilman Carl DeMaio.

Blood and urine? Are you kidding me? How are the city councils and police not doing something about this? If violence is what these assholes respect, then give them some of it. These degenerate vermin need to be shot on sight and their bodies given to hog farmers for feed. Enough already!

What a difference 77 years of the entitlement society makes

Quite the contrast, eh?

How is a generation of these miscreants going to lead America back to prosperity? This is what the scourge of liberalism has created.

OWS men hate capitalism, but seem to enjoy rape

The criminal debauchery at the Zucotti Park OWS protests has gotten so bad for the women that they've had to set up a "safe tent" for women to sleep in so the sexual predators won't keep reaping them in the night.

The feckless media reported as fact, their fantasies that the Tea Party would turn violent, racist, and Nazi-like, but no crimes, not even littering, were reported. Yet the same reprehensible media shrug and ignore regular rapes of women at the OWS gatherings because it reflects negatively on Obama(an OWS supporter) and the larger narrative that capitalism is bad and socialism is good.

After this outrageous double standard of coverage, how can anybody pay any attention to what the mainstream media reports?

I want to believe

This is going around Facebook and as a hesitant believer in UFO's, I found this to be quite funny. I say hesitant because though I've never seen any credible evidence of alien visitations, what a collosal waste of space it would be if there weren't other beings flying around the universe and occasionally stopping by Earth to have a look see at how primitive we are? I think visiting Earth must be for aliens like visiting the zoo must be for us.

Detroit continues to implode

From the most democratically controlled city in America, the inmates are in control of the asylum.....

From CBSLocal -- “Our drivers are scared, they’re scared for their lives. This has been an ongoing situation about security. I think yesterday kind of just topped it off, when one of my drivers was beat up by some teenagers down in the middle of Rosa Parks and it took the police almost 30 minutes to get there, in downtown Detroit,”

Urban Detroit must be like living in a zombie-based X-Box game. Gangs of roving youths terrorizing with impunity any pedestrians or shop owners at will and the police not doing anything about it. There is lawlessness, chaos, and predatory violence rampant in the city run entirely by liberal democrats for generations.

With all three major car companies there, shouldn't they be teaming with jobs and employment? Oh that's right, when you combine thug unionization and unchecked, corrupt democrat, political policies, it's a recipe for total and utter societal and economic disaster. Detroit has collapsed in on itself and nothing short of razing the city and starting over will repair it for tens of generations.

But for hurricane Katrina washing most of the derelicts over to Houston, New Orleans would be right behind them. You want you city to end up like Detroit? Keep electing democrats and keep unionizing your work forces.

Sexual harassment is unacceptable....unless it's spanking

Herman Cain denies that he sexually harassed anybody 20 years ago, yet there are three women who unconvincingly claim otherwise. The main complainant is bound by a confidentiality agreement into which she entered in exchange for a wad of cash, yet though she has repeatedly told her lawyer to shut up, obviously a self-promoter, he keeps holding press conferences. Lawyers....I swear!

If the court vacates the non-disclosure agreement so that she can blab about the "incident", which is the ruling she's asking for, doesn't she have to pay back all the money she extorted from the National Restaurant Association in exchange for her silence?

I realize that presidential campaigns get ugly, but if I find out that Perry's campaign had anything to do with this(and he has the most to gain from a damaged Herman Cain), I won't vote for him. This will expose Perry to be just another dirtbag politician that'll do anything to win.

Kim K lowers the bar a little more

I just have this to say about Kim Kardashian's split from unemployed NBA husband Kris Humphries....who gives a crap?

Even Gretchen Carlson on Fox and Friends was whining that Kim's fans should be outraged. Let me just say that if any aspect of your life is affected in any way by what half-witted attention whores like the Kardashians, you need to get a life and maybe a new hobby.

There was another guy on F&F who was cautioning young girls not to use Kim as a role model for their own behavior. No kidding, moron! If you look to reality-show train-wrecks as role models, you fully deserve to be single, lonely, and miserable just like her.

Herman Cain gets the Clarance Thomas treatment

Two women from 20 years ago have "surfaced" to accuse Herman Cain of inappropriate sexually suggestive behavior that cause them to feel uncomfortable". That figures...liberals dredged up Anita Hill to falsely claim that Clarance Thomas had behaved in sexually inappropriate ways, in order to prevent him from getting on the Supreme Court. But is it liberals who're trying to deep-six Herman Cain.....or establishment republicans?

Nothing is detested more by liberals than a successful, black conservative and nothing is scarier to establishment, beltway republicans than a non-establishment candidate getting some traction in a big election. The big-money GOP donors want somebody they understand and can control such as Romney or Perry to get the nomination. Cain is an unknown to them. So the possibilities here number 3. They are...

1. Liberals are terrified of a conservative black destroying their narrative of blacks being too incompetent and inept to succeed without democrats' help, therefor Cain must be destroyed.

2. Establishment republicans are tired of Cain's 15 minutes and feel they have to take him down in order for their guy, Romney to return to his rightful place of defacto nominee.

And 3. Two women actually felt harassed by Cain twenty years ago, saw an opportunity to cash in, and extorted five-figure severances to go away and be quiet.

No matter which of the three you believe, none of it disqualifies Cain to me from serving as President.

Afghanistan isn't worth this

If anybody can explain to me how anything we accomplish in Afghanistan is worth this happening or will do anything to stop it in the future, I'd like to hear it....

From AP -- KABUL, Afghanistan (AP) -- A Taliban suicide bomber rammed a van into an armored NATO bus Saturday, killing 13 American troops and four Afghans in the deadliest attack on coalition forces in Kabul since the war began - a major setback for the U.S.-led coalition as it begins to draw down combat troops.

What are we doing over there? We're just running around being targets for suicide bombers. We will never, NEVER be able to negotiate peace with the Taliban, Al Qaeda, or whatever primitive, heroin-addled tribe currently controls things there.

To me, the fallacy of the US's middle east policy for my entire lifetime, is the absurd notion that these people can be negotiated with. That they are like us. They are not. They can't be reasoned with---we've tried that. They can't be bought---we've tried that. They can't be killed in any appreciable numbers---we've tried that.

What the bloody hell are we doing? Seriously, I'd like to hear somebody give me the talk that they would give the parents, widow, and 2 children of one of the men who got blown up yesterday, as an attempt to justify to them why the Afghanistan mission was worth the life of their husband/father.

Debate overload.....enough already

Rick Perry says that his campaign might de-emphasize the absurd number of GOP debates still on the schedule. Outraged Washington insiders wonder how a candidate can skip a debate and let the others grab the spotlight and dazzle the viewers. I ask: what viewers?

We've already had what, 5 debates? And there are many more scheduled, almost one every other week. When did this ridiculous exercise in posturing become the certain pathway to the nomination? I only watched the first two and couldn't be less interested in the rest. With Youtube, Twitter, Facebook, and every other media outlet available, why is it necessary to stage so many phoney confrontations that do nothing to actually inform the voters. It only serves to give the establishment Washington media the opportunity to trip up the republicans with "gotcha" questions, then make fun of them for tripping up.

I don't blame Perry for eschewing the debates. They're over-rated in terms of importance regarding fitness to be President.

Why Georgia may never win another title, in a picture

This(on the left) is sophomore, 20 year old Aaron Murray, Georgia's starting QB. We had a by last week in order to prepare for the big game against Florida this weekend. Young Aaron decided to spend his time wisely by heading down to Tallahassee to party with some Ga. Tech douche at a frat party.

Seriously? Let's examine all that is wrong with this picture:
-First, young Aaron is guilty of under aged drinking. I wonder if UGA or Richt will suspend him for the Florida game for this obvious rules and legal violation.
-Second, he's flashing the "hang loose" hand sign. What a tool!
-Third, he's partying with a Tech. douche....c'mon man!
-Lastly and most importantly, this is the week before the Gator game. Road trips to distant frat parties the week before the biggest game of your career probably isn't the most disciplined activity for a young D1 QB. Why isn't he in the film room learning what defenses Florida will throw at him?

If there was a shining example of why Richt will never even sniff a national championship, it's the lack of discipline and seriousness exhibited by Georgia players on and off the field. Can you imagine a Saban or Chizik coached QB doing this? I cannot.
