“The American people will never knowingly adopt Socialism. But under the name of ‘liberalism’ they will adopt every fragment of the Socialist program, until one day America will be a Socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.”

Dems pander to unions

Nothing, and I mean nothing, not the Constitution, not right and wrong, nothing gets in the way of democrats' slavish devotion to unions when it comes to buying election votes.....

Some House Democrats and advocacy groups are getting squeamish about the move to fund the $26 billion state aid bill by making cuts to food stamps, a federal assistance program currently depended on by nearly 41 million Americans.

House members convened Tuesday and passed the multibillion-dollar bailout bill for cash-strapped states that provides $10 billion to school districts to rehire laid-off teachers or ensure that more teachers won't be let go before the new school year begins, keeping more than 160,000 teachers on the job, the Obama administration says.

Why is it always teachers, policemen, and firemen that are on the democrat chopping block first when state budgets have to be cut? They aren't the only state employees. Even poor peoople on foodstamps are fair game if the alternative is losing teachers' union votes. Why not cut useless, government bureaucrats from the payrolls instead?

Easy answer: because nothing scares voters like the threat of lost teachers, policemen, and firemen. Nobody cares if overpaid pencil-pushers in government are thrown into unemployment. And the hiring of thousands of new teachers means thousands of democrat voters and additional teacher-union dues to spend on democrat candidates.

Dumb American voters won't turn Access Hollywood off long enough to realize that they are being played like a dime-store harmonica by democrats. Nobody is forcing states to fire teachers when budgets are short, but threatening teachers with unemployment during a budget "emergency" is what galvanizes voter support for extra spending of taxpayer money.

Wake up you morons! You're being had.
