I know my opinions on contemporary media carry a lot of weight with you people so here's another TRR movie review for your home entertainment...My family watched Seven Pounds a couple of nights ago. Will Smith is already known for his action/comedy work but, he deserves some recognition as a serious actor too. The title refers to the cliche' "seven pounds of flesh". In it, Smith is trying to make up for past mistakes by doing nice things for strangers, things that require great sacrifice of himself. The notions of personal pain, responsibility, and sacrifice are explored in an almost Shakespearian tragedy. It's definitely worth a couple of bucks at the video store.
