“The American people will never knowingly adopt Socialism. But under the name of ‘liberalism’ they will adopt every fragment of the Socialist program, until one day America will be a Socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.”

The downward-spiraling definition of "rich"

You remember when Obama first started seducing us with his "I'll cut taxes for 95% of Americans" schtick? He defined "rich" as being those who had an annual household imcome of $250,000. Two weeks ago, he slyly mentioned the number $200,000. Last week Joe Biden defined "rich" as being at $150,000. Then yesterday, Bill Richardson, a likely Obama cabinet member or adivsor, said "rich" was any family who made over $120,000. By the time he gets innaugurated in January, "rich" will be anybody who has a job.

You think I'm joking about that? I'm dead serious, if by "rich" Obama means anybody whose taxes he will increase, because that's exactly what'll happen. There's no other way to pay for all the government intrusion and nanny-State care he's promising without dramatically raising everybody's income taxes....of course, in the name of helping the middle class, the downtrodden, and the less fortunate.

If we are so stupid as to elect a proud, unapologetic socialist as President, then we'll deserve everything he saddles us with.
