“The American people will never knowingly adopt Socialism. But under the name of ‘liberalism’ they will adopt every fragment of the Socialist program, until one day America will be a Socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.”

When in Rome...do as the Romans

It seems that illegal aliens are assimilating much faster than previously thought. Just like law-breaking Americans, when they get caught being law-breakers, the first thing to do is sue anybody even remotely associated with them, and who has lots of money to plunder...

BOSTON (Reuters) - Workers including 361 illegal immigrants were cheated of hundreds of thousands of dollars in overtime pay at a factory at the center of a high-profile raid in Massachusetts, according to a lawsuit filed on Tuesday.

The class-action lawsuit, filed in U.S. District Court in Boston on behalf of 500 workers, follows a raid by federal immigration agents on March 6 that drew criticism of the Bush administration's immigration policy and brought national attention to the perils facing undocumented workers.

"the perils facing undocumented workers"...there should be peril associated with illegal activity. If these workers are not legal American citizens, then why is the company obligated to follow the labor laws? And why do criminal-non-citizens get to take advantage of our legal system? If the feds, and by feds I mean George Bush, cared what a majority of Americans want done about illegal aliens, he would stage a different raid every day of the week at some company that employs illegals, with deportation being the punishment.

These are the type of people to whom liberals want to grant citizenship and more importantly, voting rights...nice!

You can't paint all immigrants with your broad brush of racism, Ed. A vast majority of these people are law-abiding citizens who had to come here to fulfill their American dream. They aren't hurting anybody. That some of them turn to crime after they are here is a testament to how miserably inept our system of assimilation is. It doesn't matter what you republicans think anyway. Bush is going to sign a bill with the democrats regardless what the "R" base thinks.
