“The American people will never knowingly adopt Socialism. But under the name of ‘liberalism’ they will adopt every fragment of the Socialist program, until one day America will be a Socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.”

With a conserative like Bush in office....who needs a liberal?

In case you were still wondering how the Democrats took control of Congress, look no further than Bush's new budget plan.

Conservative voters favor candidates who advance the concepts of small, limited government, budget cutting, low spending, low taxes, and a strong military. The only one of those tenents Bush has embraced is the maintenance of a strong military. He has yet to curb discretionary spending with his veto pen. By contrast, Ronald Reagan vetoed 20 spending bills that Congress sent across his desk in just his first 3 years. Bush's $2.9trillion budget is worse than any budget Bill Clinton could imagine.

With the Iraq war going badly, Bush's free-wheeling money management is hand-delivering the Presidency to the Democrats, who will then control two of the three branches of government.
