“The American people will never knowingly adopt Socialism. But under the name of ‘liberalism’ they will adopt every fragment of the Socialist program, until one day America will be a Socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.”

Socialist Party presidential candidate Norman Thomas

Liberals love fairy tales

Amid crop-destroying cold weather in places like SoCal, a rare ice storm in middle America leaving millions without power, and following a hurricane season without a single hurricane, druidical, Mother Earth-worshipping zealots over at the Weather Channel think it's heretical to question the fairy tale that is human-caused, catastrophic global warming...

The Weather Channel’s most prominent climatologist is advocating that broadcast meteorologists be stripped of their scientific certification if they express skepticism about predictions of manmade catastrophic global warming. This latest call to silence skeptics follows a year (2006) in which skeptics were compared to "Holocaust Deniers" and Nuremberg-style war crimes trials were advocated by several climate alarmists.

The Weather Channel’s (TWC) Heidi Cullen, who hosts the weekly global warming program "The Climate Code," is advocating that the American Meteorological Society (AMS) revoke their "Seal of Approval" for any television weatherman who expresses skepticism that human activity is creating a climate catastrophe.

What's the first step listed in The Idiot's Guide to Establishing a Socialist/Marxist/Communist State? One must silence all opposing views so that only your view is heard.

My only question is that, who considers The Weather Channel morons as scientists anyway. You must be viewed as something to have the title stripped away. I do not see it as a great feat to be entitled by the AMS. As I see it, weather people are worse than when they used liquid chalk on a board, and actually looked outside to see what was happening. If I want to know what will happen in Birmingham, I call my friend in Jackson, Ms.What he has today, I will typically have in a day or so. Real difficult. Heidi Cullen should be replaced.

First it's the Democrats and the dreaded Fairness Doctrine using the power of the State to silence opposition voices...now the Kool-Aid drinkers at TWC using the power of professional certification to silence opposition voices and force individuals to regurgitate liberal fantasy masquerading as science.

Freedom and the concept of the individual are being attacked from all sides...depressing!

If not communism, it is at least Marxism at its best. Patton should have attacked Russia in '47 when we had the chance.

1.2million krauts couldn't endure the Russian winters, I doubt if our troops would have faired any better.

Luckily, communist regimes eventually run themselves into the ground for lots of reasons, none of which are military. You just have to wait them out and hope they don't attack you in the mean time.

Patton was in Berlin at the end of winter. If an attack was to happen it would had to have been then. The bigger problem, was that we would have had to fight the Russians in Europe and in Russia. Very little success in two front wars, historically.

I think the Americans were tired of fighting in the Pacific and European theaters. At that time, the Russians were our allies(sort of), it would have been bad form to attack an ally.

That being said, who knows what the world might now look like if we had attacked the Russian army, and pursued them back to the Motherland?

I'll bet there are books on the subject.
