“The American people will never knowingly adopt Socialism. But under the name of ‘liberalism’ they will adopt every fragment of the Socialist program, until one day America will be a Socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.”

Bruno Kirby

I was bummed to hear about this...

LOS ANGELES - Bruno Kirby, a veteran character actor known for playing the best friend in two of Billy Crystal’s biggest comedies “When Harry Met Sally” and “City Slickers,” has died. He was 57.
Kirby died Monday in Los Angeles from complications related to leukemia, his wife Lynn Sellers said in a statement Tuesday. He had been recently diagnosed with the disease.

I had not even heard that he was sick.
One of my favorite roles of his was in The Freshman with Matthew Broderick and Marlon Brando. For me, he always stole scenes from much more well known actors. What an excellent comedian!

Hilarious man! Don't forget him as 2Lt Steven Hauk in "Good Morning, Vietnam". I always liked the "wagon wheel" coffee table scene in "When Harry Met Sally" and of course there is "City Slickers" like you mentioned. A tremendous loss.

I agree. A scene-stealer all the way. It takes a genius to be funny, playing the serious, straight man to other actor's comedy.
